This basement flat was light starved and a previous rental property so needed a complete overhaul. We chose metallic wallpapers with swirling patterns to give a feeling of light and movement in the sitting room and bedroom, whilst simple, easy to live with colours softened the graphic of the wallpapers. The pattern was picked up in the tiles in the bathroom and a shower/bath was chosen to give the maximum bathing options without compromising the comfort of either. A gel fireplace was added to give a focal point to the sitting room and to brighten up cold, winter evenings.
