My client was renovating her Georgian house but wanted some help with the main public rooms. She had already chosen certain items of furniture which gave me a clue to her quirky, Bohemian style and we worked up a colour palette that would dovetail perfectly with the pieces she had selected. Choosing a colour palette helps keep the design on track, and a couple of bespoke rugs with flashes of fuscia pink and deep mustard allowed us to balance the electric accent colours around the room so that they didn't overwhelm the space. The reproduction artwork behind the sofa was another touch from her childhood that made the space very definitely her own.
