The client had a number of pieces in jewel tones of sapphire and damson that she wanted to use whilst at the same time yearning for a billowy light Moroccan theme. We chose a soft earthy palette of off whites, sands and ochres to use for the walls in the basement to maximise the light whilst using the jewel colours pieces as accents. On the first and second floors where light was more plentiful, the jewel colours were reversed and used for wall and ceilings whilst the accents became the lighter shades of sand and ochre. The result is a home that transitions between light open backdrops and warm, womblike bedrooms with a modern, Moroccan flavour in the bathrooms. Rock the Kasbah!
